It’s now several weeks since our memorable trip to India. Personally my 4th visit over several years, for my travelling friend it’s her 2nd. Having been some 50 years, many wonderful surprises for her.

Hello to 15 days , New Delhi, Varinasi, Chochi, vast exploration of the refreshing south of India, Jaipur Rajasthan, Agra, back to New Delhi.

Having traveled extensively to much in India my aim was to experience the calmness of the south.
There were no disappointments there apart from the freshness of the air, the lakes and rivers were refreshing and welcomed. The houseboat experience was serene, as we glided down river parting the waterlilies as we went.

A massage of different was an experience to be had, with both of us choosing different styles.
Benefit to us was talked about days after as our bodies and minds went into relaxed mode.

Our guides and excellent drivers filled our minds with so much historical experiences, that painted amazing scenes of the past. An important commodity as one visits foreign places.

Jaipur/Rajisthan the pink city, was my other personal place to see. A place of colours and amazing and different architecture. After the slow south, the pace was frenetic but doable.
A rest in our delightful and well placed hotel was a must, end of day.

India, never in all 4 trips, disappoints. Each time has created very different and diverse experiences.
I dare not predict this to be my final trip to India however my age and stage of life may determine that for me.

I've now taken two multi-week tours of India with Alluring Tours, both of which were planned and organized, and partially or fully led, by Anisha Panikar. Anisha is an incredibly thorough planner, vastly competent, kind, and thoughtful. She was flexible in helping us to take advantage of unpredictable opportunities that arose, and in adapting plans when circumstances dictated. She readily provided a generous supply of safe bottled drinking water, arranged for foods varying in spice levels, and planned for regular toilet stops. She was prepared to quickly find professional medical help at any point when a traveler fell ill. Anisha makes appreciated opportunities to connect personally with each traveler. She kindly guided us in understanding local culture, customs, and religious observances and celebrations, answering our questions with patience, empathy, and insight.  I give her and Alluring Tours my highest recommendation.

I spent 20 days on a tour that covered the Golden Triangle (New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur) and Kerala (Kochi, Munnar, Thekkady, Kumarakom, and Alleppey) and Mumbai. Everything was carefully planned, the hotels were beautiful, the food was excellent and safe for us. We had many beautiful experiences and learned a lot about the culture and history from excellent local guides in every place. I just took a two week tour with Alluring Tours.  Wonderful company to travel with - our trip leaders were organized, made sure we had everything we needed (in the way of food and drink), took us to interesting locations and provided wonderfully knowledgeable  local guides.
