I am very grateful to the Beyond the Plains team for organising our trip to Kenya on such short notice - only one week before our arrival.
Despite the time pressure, they tailored the itinerary perfectly to our needs and delivered an incredible safari experience.

Having previous safari experience in Africa, I especially appreciated the high quality and reliability of the vehicle: no flat tyres, no delays, everything running smoothly and according to plan. All arrangements matched exactly what we had agreed via email in advance, including accommodations. In the past, with other companies, we sometimes experienced last-minute changes, but this time everything was organised exactly as promised, which gave us great peace of mind.

During our 6-day safari we visited Amboseli National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park, and Masai Mara National Reserve and were lucky to see all the wildlife we hoped for.
I also highly recommend organising a hot-air balloon safari through Beyond the Plains. During our flight we saw elephants, lions, zebras, and giraffes from above. It was absolutely breathtaking, and worth every extra cost.

Kenya gave us so many unforgettable safari memories, and Beyond the Plains made the whole planning process smooth.

We had an incredible 6-day tour covering Nairobi, Naivasha, Nakuru, and the Masai Mara with Beyond the Plains Safari, and it was flawless from start to finish!

A huge thank you to Lilian for her timely communication, help with crafting the itinerary, and lightning-fast responses to every question. She even checked in with us daily from the Nairobi office to make sure we were having the best possible experience — a truly thoughtful touch. From the very first day, the whole team welcomed us warmly and gave us a detailed briefing, setting the tone for a well-organized and memorable trip.

But the star of our safari was without a doubt our amazing guide, Ben. Thanks to his skill and knowledge, we saw all of the African Big Five, cheetahs, countless other animals, and were lucky enough to witness the Great Migration, which was absolutely breathtaking. Ben is a safe, careful driver and incredibly caring — he even went the extra mile to get a stepping stool for my mom so she could easily get in and out of the safari vehicle throughout the trip. His thoughtfulness, attention to comfort, and deep respect for the wildlife — giving animals space while ensuring we still had fantastic views, made our experience unforgettable.

🌍 Family Trip to Tanzania & Kenya with Beyond The Plains from India
Our recent family trip in the month of September from India to Tanzania and Kenya with our 6-year-old was truly unforgettable, thanks to Linet from Beyond The Plains, who took care of every single detail — from our accommodations, domestic flights, meals, drinking water, to private vehicles and knowledgeable guide-cum-drivers at every destination --- making our journey completely seamless.
We had requested specific meal preferences (only vegetables, eggs, chicken, and fish — no meat, pork and beef), and Linet ensured this was perfectly taken care of everywhere we stayed. The food was always fresh and well served.

We loved exploring both the Serengeti National Park (Tanzania) and Masai Mara National Reserve (Kenya) — each offered breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife. In Tanzania, Serval Wildlife was a must visit with kids! In Kenya, we also enjoyed Lake Naivasha and Amboseli National Park.

Renga (Tanzania) – our friendly driver in Arusha who made our transfers comfortable and pleasant.

Issac at Serval Wildlife (Tanzania) – a wonderful host who made our stay truly special. He was extremely caring, ensured we covered the maximum possible experiences in a short time, and looked after our daughter throughout our stay — something we will always remember.

Aaron (Tanzania) – our guide and driver at Serengeti, who impressed us with his deep knowledge of wildlife. Every time we encountered an animal or bird, he shared fascinating insights. Thanks to him, we spotted more than 25+ species during our Serengeti safari!

Ben (Kenya) – a nice guide-cum-driver who accompanied us throughout our Kenya journey from Masai Mara to Amboseli, making sure everything went smoothly.

The only thing we missed was spotting a Rhino in the open wild. They have been moved to protected zones for safety, which would require another full day’s trip — something we weren't aware of and hence couldn’t fit into our packed itinerary. Hopefully, we’ll return in a few years when our daughter is a bit older to complete that circle of “Big Five” sightings!

Once again, heartfelt thanks to Linet and the Beyond The Plains team for organising such a seamless and memorable family adventure and even helping us share our appreciation tips with our guides, as we couldn’t carry cash during travel.

it was my dream to go to safari, so I started to make a research nearly 9 months prior to our planned trip. Through the blog found Beyond the Plains and contacted Dorah for the 6 days itinerary. We ended up with visiting Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and 2 days in Maasai Mara.

Advantages of going on safari with Beyond the Plains:
- support at you convenience via WhatsApp and/or email
- flexibility in planning
- while on safari, as customer, you can adjust it, your driver (also a guide) will make sure to meet your expectations.
In the end we decided to spend one afternoon at Lake Naivasha to take a boat ride and also do a walking safari.

For the first time comers I would recommend this 4-5 days route: Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, Maasai Mara.
If you wish to see the stunning mountain Kilimanjaro, and the biggest population of elephants in Kenya, then add Amboseli as well.

First safari for our family in Kenya and we couldn’t be happier. A massive thank you to Lilian, who was super assertive and professional throughout the entire booking process.
