Visiting Kashmir is like stepping into a dream where nature's beauty knows no bounds. From the moment you arrive, the mesmerizing landscapes captivate your heart. Verdant valleys, lush green mountains and serene lakes create a picturesque setting that is nothing short of magical. The Dal Lake with its Shikaras, Aru, and Betaab valleys of Pehelgam, Gondola cable car to the peaks and Bota Pathri valley's scenic beauty, Sonamarg's stunning views of the glaciers and the breath taking journey to zero point. It is is simply impossible to describe in words, Kashmir is to be experienced and not read.
Not just for the nature and its beauty, what makes it more beautiful is the warm hospitality, caring and generosity of the people. The Kashmiris are incredibly welcoming, treating guests with real kindness that makes you feel at home. Sipping a cup of Kahwa or the very rich home made Wazwan, friendliness and willingness to share culture and stories from the owners to the drivers to the shop owners to the horse owners and care takers. you learn so much and love the place and people even more after every conversation.
Ofcourse this review is never complete without mentioning Mr. Syed Athar Qadiri of Kolahoi Holidays. A well planned itinerary with great hotels and locations, good communication at every stage, following twice everyday to ensure we are having a good time and addressing any concerns. His caring, generosity and hospitality and an opportunity to meet the family while enjoying the amazing home cooked delicious Wazwan added to our overall experience. And lastly Hayat who was with us from the time we landed at the airport till he dropped us back. A real gentleman, knowledgeable, generous and very friendly person. Again had the pleasure of meeting his family at his place over lunch(no prizes for guessing the menu here :)).
Looking forward to another visit during the snow season and I would consider no one else for the trip and recommend the same for anyone who is interested in visiting Kashmir.
