About Nordic Unique Travels

Nordic Unique Travels Oy (NUT) is a tour operator and destination management company based in Rovaniemi, Finland. It is a family-owned business operating tours since 2015 (previously as Lapin Tounti; Nordic Unique Travels Oy was registered in May 2019). Thanks to the focus on internationalization and maintenance of partnerships, the company has grown quickly and now it belongs among the biggest tour operators in Rovaniemi. At the moment, Nordic Unique Travels is a SME with an annual turnover between 2-5 million euros. The company employs approximately 10-15 employees all-year around and around 60 employees seasonally. The company’s sole owner is also the CEO of the company. The company has 3 departments: i) sales department; ii) booking department and iii) operations (guides) and maintenance department. With the outstanding teamwork among different departments, it has received much great feedback from international customers, and also built reliable cooperation with many tourism-related partners all around the world which makes strong connection between it and potential customers who would like to travel to Lapland. Located on the Arctic circle and surrounded by unspoiled Lappish nature, Rovaniemi attracts visitors from all around the world. Snowy landscapes, extreme cold but above all northern lights, Santa Claus and reindeer are the reasons thousands of tourists dream to visit Rovaniemi and Lapland. Although, there is much more to experience, from exciting husky or snowmobile ride to relaxing in a traditional Finnish sauna. In the past years, tourism industry has been experiencing a ‘boom’ and also Nordic Unique Travels had recorded an exceptional increase in customers’ numbers. Unfortunately, this continuous growth has been affected by the coronavirus outbreak. However, we have been still constantly working on new business plans against the special pandemic to be seen more by customers. As a local safari, it receives many requests even during this challenging period for holiday packages including transportation, accommodation, and activities from all around the world. Instead of reserving accommodations with others what it usually did before, it is going to develop a new program with selling its own accommodation  with packages.
