This review comes a little late owing to the fact that I was caught up as soon as I got back to work. But what's fascinating is the fact that I can still re-live and have fond memories of my trip even now, months after I went on a trip with relatives to Shillong and chose Shabong Travels which is run by Kyrmenlang Shabong. We concentrated mainly on Sohra area since we had very limited days. We visited the crystal clear waters of the Dawki river where we took a boat ride through the calm and serene waters looking at the fish and enjoying the sweet sounds of nature. Next day we were at Nohkalikai falls and also hiked to the head of the falls which was safe because it was winter and the path was dry. The final day we went to Wahkhen village, which Kyrmenlang enthusiastically convinced me was a must visit and boy, were we glad to have listened to him (because earlier we wanted to go to another place) It is popularly known as the "bamboo trek" and I must say it can only be seen and experienced to believe it. Kyrmenlang is a gem of a person and a wonderful guide who makes you feel like you're meeting a long lost friend. His energy is unmatched and he will make pit stops out of his way to give you added value to your trip and most importantly he makes you feel safe throughout the entire trip. I would definitely recommend Shabong Travels to anyone travelling to Shillong whether for the first time or re-visiting. Just make sure you contact Shabong Travels before you plan.

Had a wonderful time in Meghalaya thanks to Shabong Travels. The package included Airport pick to drop. The accommodations were great. Some of the best home stays I’ve been in. The drivers assigned were polite and knowledgeable. The places covered were great as well. They modify the plan based on number of days we are going to stay. Krymen is a great planner he made sure all the needs are met and was great to talk to as well. Shabong travels for Meghalaya is strongly recommended be it for small or large group.
