My wife and I visited Kashmir for the first time from New Zealand, although we are originally from Delhi. Like many travelers, we were a little unsure about planning the trip because we had heard about scams and overpricing for activities. But choosing Etios Kashmir Tour and Travels turned out to be the best decision we made for our trip.
We first contacted Zahid, who was very polite and helpful from the beginning. After that, Fizah took care of organizing our entire tour. She planned everything perfectly at a very reasonable price, and her communication and support were excellent throughout the trip.
Our driver Mushtaq was also amazing. He has a very friendly and humble nature, and he made us feel comfortable and safe during the whole journey. Traveling with him felt like being with a local friend who genuinely wanted us to enjoy Kashmir.
On our first day during hotel check-in, we faced a small issue, but what impressed me the most was their professionalism. The Etios team solved the problem within 4–5 minutes (Specially fizah) which shows how much they care about their customers and their reputation.
Throughout the trip,mushtaq guided us very honestly. In Kashmir there are many places where tourists can easily be overcharged for pony rides and other activities, but He clearly explained the correct and reasonable prices, which really protected us from scams.
For saffron and dry fruits, we bought authentic saffron from Samir (Zahid’s brother). He explained everything about real Kashmiri saffron, and since they are farmers themselves, we felt confident about the authenticity. We also received a very good price and a nice discount, which we truly appreciated.
Overall, our experience with Etios Kashmir was wonderful, honest, and memorable. They treated us like guests rather than just customers.
