About Altstadt
The Altstadt of Salzburg is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most beautiful old towns in Europe. It is located on the left bank of the Salzach River and is surrounded by the Austrian Alps. The Altstadt is a mix of Gothic, Baroque, and Renaissance architecture and is home to many of Salzburg's most famous landmarks, including the Salzburg Cathedral, the Hohensalzburg Fortress, and Mozart's birthplace.
