The Golden Circle is the most iconic destination from Reykjavik. On this route you will enjoy beautiful scenery and visit Iceland's three famous spots: Geysir geothermal area, Gullfoss waterfall and Thingvellir national park.

Stop At: Thingvellir National Park, Thingvellir Iceland
The Thingvellir are both historically and geologically a important location. Here was the first icelandic parliament founded in the late 900s and this is also the a visible division between the eurasian and the north american continental plates.

Strokkur is the little brother or the famous Geysir which not active anymore. Strokkur though is still very active blowing water up into the air every 7 to 10 minutes.

Gullfoss is a waterfall of the White River Hvítá. It has two steps of 11 and 21 meters and there are pulling more 100 m3 water through it at a second.

Pass By: Old Harbour, Reykjavik Iceland
The ship sets sails from Reykjavík’s Old Harbour and during your journey, you’ll sail among the small islands in the Faxaflói Bay, as well as along the coast of Reykjavík, providing you with a fantastic view of the city as you search for the wildlife in the water.
The most common sights are minke and humpback whales, dolphins, and porpoises. However, there is always a chance to spot a few orcas (also known as killer whales) as well as a wealth of other species. The professional team onboard is very experienced in spotting whales and is dedicated to making sure their passengers leave with a smile!

Faxafloi bay is situated on its southern shore. From Reykjavik it is possible to see the peninsula of Akranes in the northeast and even the Snæfellsjökull at a distance of about 120 km (75 mi). This bay has few islands and the ones it does have are close to land, in particular contrast to the bay directly north of it, Breiðafjörður, which has the most islands of any bay in Iceland.

Hekla is one of Iceland's most active volcanoes, and was for centuries believed to be the entrance to hell.
Stop At: Skogafoss, Skogar Iceland
Visit Skogafoss waterfall. This is a picturesque 200-foot (60-meter) tall, broad and powerful waterfall, and due to its striking appearance it is frequently used in movies and commercials. You can get close enough to feel the spray from the falls on your face and, if you like, then climb a stairway leading to the top of the falls allowing you a view from above.

Stop At: Black Sand Beach, Vikurbraut, Vik 870 Iceland
Stroll along the black sand and pebble beach of Reynisfjara. The beach features stacks of basalt columns that wall off surrounding cliffs scattered with caves. See the black sand beach Djúpalónssandur with it's rich history. Once a popular area for fishing, the sea is now empty as boats have moved elsewhere. All that remains is the wreckage of a British trawler on the black sands, and several 'lifting stones'. These lifting stones would have been used to test the strength of potential fishermen and now you can try and see if you would have made the cut too!
