The Gujarat government plans to open India's highest space observatory in order to encourage tourism! The city already has some incredible, world-class attractions, including the Statue of Gujarat, which is the world's tallest statue. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed the idea of a space observatory, and the government quickly began work on the project.
According to reports, the 140-meter space observatory will be built near Narendra Modi's hometown of Vadnagar, at Dharoi Dam. The project will cost over INR 1041 crores and will cover a massive 1500-acre area. The construction of this gigantic project is expected to take three years.
The administration hopes that the observatory would aid in the development of the surrounding regions as well as enhance tourism in the state. They expect this to enhance the number of tourists as well. When completed, this magnificent space observatory will feature a beautiful telescope gallery from which visitors can view many planets. An astronomical observatory and observation locations will also be available. Those interested can also stroll up to a nearby open-air viewing platform. The proposal also includes a bistro and a hotel. There will also be a 2500 person capacity amphitheatre.
