In a recent travel update, Kuwait has announced that it will resume direct commercial flights with India from September 7, 2021 (today). With this Kuwait has become the latest city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to come up with such a crucial decision after nearly four months. Last month, the UAE decided to curb its international travel restrictions and said that it will resume flights with India, Egypt and several other Southeast Asian nations.

Requirements

1) Passengers travelling to Kuwait from India will need to be fully vaccinated with the vaccines approved by the WHO.

2) Priority will be given to Kuwaiti citizens, their first degree relatives and domestic workers.

3) Passengers must also carry their negative RT PCR test result not older than 48 hours before departing.

4) All passengers need to download and register on the Alhosn app with the UID and phone number.

Meanwhile, the UAE opened applications for tourist visas from all countries starting August 30 including India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal.

Last month, UAE lifted several international travel bans and some fresh guidelines were issued for passengers from India. The government said that the travellers need to take a rapid PCR test six hours before their departure for the UAE.

Apart from this, the Gulf nation also started with a visa on arrival facility for those Indians nationals with a visa or residence permit issued by the USA, United Kingdom or an EU Member State. After reaching, travellers will have to be quarantined for 10 days and wear a medically approved wristband for tracking purposes.
