The Barcelona Magic Fountain of Montjuic is a fountain located on the Montjuïc hill in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It is also sometimes referred to as the Font Màgica de Montjuïc. The fountain was built for the 1929 Barcelona International Exposition and is now a popular tourist attraction. The first section consists of a large tank which holds water. This tank is fed by a water supply line which runs up the hill from the Barcelona Harbour. The second section consists of a set of water jets which are arranged in a semicircle around the tank. These jets are powered by electric pumps and can reach heights of up to 70 metres (230 ft). The third section consists of a series of lights which are used to create light shows.
