Bien Hoa is a city in the province of Dong Nai, Vietnam. It is located on the Saigon River, 50 km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City. The city was the site of the Bien Hoa Air Base, a key United States military base during the Vietnam War. The air base was closed in 1975. The city is now a major industrial center, with a large number of factories and a large population of migrant workers from the countryside.
