HISTORY
Budapest Matthias Church was built in the late 1200s and named after Matthias Corvinus, King of Hungary. It was rebuilt in the late 1800s in a neo-Gothic style.

Budapest is a city with a population of over 1.8 million people and is the capital of Hungary. The city is divided into 23 districts. The Danube River flows through the city and divides it into the Buda and Pest sides. The Buda side is hilly and is home to the Royal Palace and the Fisherman's Bastion. The Pest side is flat and is home to the Hungarian Parliament Building, the St. Stephen's Basilica, and the National Gallery. Budapest is a popular tourist destination and is home to many museums, restaurants, and bars.
