About City Palace
The City Palace, Jaipur is a former palace of the Maharaja of Jaipur, located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. It is now a museum. The City Palace was built between 1728 and 1732, during the reign of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. It is a blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture. The palace is situated on the eastern side of the Jantar Mantar observatory.
The City Palace has a number of courtyards, gardens, and buildings. The Chandra Mahal, or Moon Palace, is the most important building in the complex, and is the residence of the present Maharaja of Jaipur. The building is made up of a series of courtyards, gardens, and buildings. The Amar Mahal, or Palace of Love, is a building with a white dome and cupola. It is used as a museum. The City Palace is a popular tourist destination, and is open to the public.
