The Jhalawar-Jhalara Patan district is a district of Rajasthan state in western India. The town of Jhalawar is the district headquarters. The district has an area of 4,521 km². The population of the district was 1,710,868 in the 2001 census. The district is bounded on the north by the Chambal River, which separates it from the Dholpur district of Rajasthan, on the east by the Kota district, on the south by the Pratapgarh district, and on the west by the Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh.
