Dal Lake

Dal Lake, nestled in the heart of Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, is a tranquil oasis of natural beauty and cultural heritage. The lake is oval in shape and is about 13.5 km long and 6.4 km wide. It has an area of about 65.5 km² and a maximum depth of 21.5 m. The lake is fed by the Jhelum River and the Chenab River.
