Shankaracharya Samadhi

Kedarnath Shankaracharya Samadhi is a religious site located in the Kedarnath Valley in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, India. The site is dedicated to the 8th century philosopher and theologian Adi Shankara, who is said to have attained enlightenment in the area. The Samadhi is a simple structure located on the banks of the Mandakini River, and is said to be the place where Shankara's mortal remains were buried. The site is a popular pilgrimage destination, and is visited by thousands of pilgrims each year.
