History of Birla Planetarium
The Birla Planetarium was inaugurated on 9th November 1963 by the then Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru. It was set up by the Birla family, who also founded the Birla Science Museum. The planetarium is located in Kolkata, West Bengal.
