Kumbakonam Kashi Viswanath Temple is a Hindu temple located in the town of Kumbakonam in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, the temple is one of the twelve Shiva temples known as the "Jyotirlingas". The temple is believed to have been built by the Pallava king Nandivarman II in the 8th century AD. The temple has a five-tiered tower and is surrounded by a large compound. The temple is revered by the Shaiva and Vaishnava sects of Hinduism. The temple is open from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The temple is closed on Fridays.
