Courtallam is a small town and a Taluk headquarters in the Tirunelveli district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located on the Western Ghats, about 190 km from Chennai.Courtallam is a popular tourist destination, especially for its waterfalls and natural springs. The town is divided into two parts: the Upper town and the Lower town. The Upper town is the commercial center, while the Lower town is the residential area. The town is connected to the rest of Tamil Nadu by road and rail.
