Mandu is a city located in the Malwa region of western Madhya Pradesh, India. It is the administrative headquarters of Mandu tehsil, and the Mandu district. The city was the capital of the Malwa Sultanate from 1401 to 1531. It is located about 365 km (227 mi) west of the state capital, Bhopal.
