About Villa Farnesina
The Villa Farnesina is a Renaissance villa in Rome, Italy, belonging to the Farnese family. It was designed by Baldassarre Peruzzi for Agostino Chigi, the treasurer of the Pope, in the early 16th century. The villa is located on the edge of the Trastevere district, on the bank of the Tiber River. The villa is famous for its frescoes, which were painted by Peruzzi, Raphael, Sebastiano del Piombo, and others.
