Chandrashila

There is no availability of water at Chandrashila. One needs to carry their own water bottles while trekking to this destination.

There are a few small restaurants and food stalls in Rudraprayag, but the quality of the food is not always reliable. It is best to bring your own food with you, or to eat at one of the larger towns and cities in the area.

There is no camping or shelter facility at Rudra Prayag. Visitors are advised to stay at nearby hotels or ashrams.

Some tips and tricks for visiting Rudra Prayag are: -Pack light as the climb to the temple is steep -Wear good walking shoes as the path is rocky -Bring a water bottle as there is no potable water available on the way up -Carry hats, sunscreen and sunglasses to protect from the sun -Start early in the morning to avoid the crowds

The Rudraprayag-Tungnath-Chandrashila trek is a popular trekking route in the Garhwal Himalayas. The trek can be done as a 4-5 day trek from Rudraprayag. The route passes through the scenic villages of Srinagar and Ghansali, and offers beautiful views of the snow-capped Himalayas. The trek can be done either independently or through a trekking agency.
