Located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, Rudra Prayag is a small town that is known for its religious importance. The town is situated at the confluence of the Alaknanda and the Bhagirathi rivers and is considered to be one of the holiest places in India. The Kumbh Mela is held here every 12 years and is attended by millions of pilgrims. There are a number of temples in Rudra Prayag, the most famous of which is the Rudra Mahadev Temple.
