About Yuyuan Garden

The Shanghai Yuyuan Garden is a classical Chinese garden located in the center of the old city of Shanghai. It was first built in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty. The garden was extensively renovated in the 1990s. The garden is divided into six main areas: the Grand Rockery, the Exterior Garden, the Lingering Garden, the Inner Garden, the Central Garden, and the Pavilion of Prince Teng. The garden is a popular tourist destination, with over ten million visitors a year.
