Thiruvannamalai Sathanur Dam is an irrigation dam on the Pennaiyar River in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The dam is located in the Thiruvannamalai district, about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from the town of Sathanur. The dam was constructed in 1957 and is used for irrigation and power generation. The dam is a masonry dam with a length of 192 metres (630 ft) and a height of 58 metres (190 ft). The reservoir created by the dam has a capacity of 9,720 cubic metres (339,000 cu ft) and a surface area of 4.9 square kilometres (1.9 sq mi). The dam is operated by the Thiruvannamalai District Irrigation Department.
