Thrissur is a city located in the central part of the southern Indian state of Kerala. It is the fourth largest city in the state and the administrative capital of Thrissur district. The city is built around a 65-acre hillock called the Thekkinkadu Maidan which seats the Vadakkumnathan temple. Thrissur was once the capital of the erstwhile Kingdom of Cochin. The Thrissur Charpa Falls is a waterfall located in the Thrissur district of Kerala. It is situated about 10 km from the city of Thrissur. The waterfall is formed by the Charpa River, which originates from the Anamalai Hills in the Western Ghats. The waterfall is a major tourist attraction in the Thrissur district. It is a popular spot for picnics and swimming. The waterfall is also a popular spot for photography.
