About Sri Chitra Art Gallery
The Sri Chitra Art Gallery in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, is a museum of modern art. It was established in 1937 by Maharaja Sree Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma, the then ruler of the princely state of Travancore. The gallery is located in the palace complex of the Maharaja of Travancore. The Sri Chitra Art Gallery has a collection of over 1,500 paintings, including works by Raja Ravi Varma, M. V. Dhurandhar, Abanindranath Tagore, and Jamini Roy. The gallery is open from Monday to Saturday, 10:00am to 5:00pm. Per Person 23,500
