The Zurich Schweizerisches Landesmuseum is a museum of art and archaeology in Zurich, Switzerland. It is the largest museum in the canton of Zurich. The museum is housed in the former palace of the Prince-Bishops of Basel, on the southwestern edge of the old city. The building, which dates from the late 15th century, was extensively renovated in the late 19th century. The museum's collections include art from the Middle Ages to the present, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, and installations. There are also extensive collections of archaeology, including items from the Stone Age to the present, and of historical objects, including coins, medals, and stamps.
