Discovering the Serene Lakes of Jodhpur

Located about 5 km from the city center, Jodhpur.  Balsamand Lake is a picturesque artificial lake surrounded by lush greenery and a beautiful garden. The lake was built in the 13th century to serve as a water reservoir for the city and today it is a popular spot for picnics and boating.

There are is no entry fee for the Balsamand Lake and the lake opens at 8 am. 

Kaylana Lake is a large, scenic lake located about 8 km west of Jodhpur. Surrounded by hills and adorned with a beautiful palace, this lake is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike. Visitors can enjoy boating, bird-watching, and breathtaking views of the sunset. 

Gulab Sagar Lake is a historic lake located in the heart of Jodhpur. Built in the 18th century, the lake is known for its stunning marble pavilion, which is located in the middle of the lake. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful walk around the lake and take in the breathtaking views.

Fateh Sagar Lake is a scenic artificial lake located about 6 km from Jodhpur. Built in the 17th century, the lake is surrounded by hills and adorned with a beautiful garden. Visitors can enjoy boating, picnics, and stunning views of the sunrise and sunset.

It is an excellent place to spend the evening. 

Ranisar Padamsar is a beautiful lake located in the heart of Jodhpur. The lake is surrounded by temples, palaces, and other historic buildings, making it a popular spot for history enthusiasts. it is a 500 years old lake. 

Visitors can enjoy a peaceful walk around the lake and admire the stunning architecture. This lake is connected to Meharana Garh Fort.

The lake was developed by  Maharaja Umaid Singh in the year 1933.The lake is surrounded by lush greenery and offers breathtaking views of the Aravalli Range. Visitors can enjoy boating, fishing, and bird-watching, or simply relax and take in the serene atmosphere.
