Ladakh is home to numerous natural wonders, but the most precious gift bestowed upon this magical land is the Chadar Trek. The trek is all about persistence & survival – of learning to survive in the harsh terrains at sub-zero temperatures, interacting with the locals & understanding their way of living, especially in one of the most inhabitable regions in the world, while you trek across a dramatic gorge with frozen waterfalls on the frozen trail of Zanskar spanned out like a “Chadar” it acts as a mirror for the sky!

The primal thrill of sleeping in caves, musing over blazing bonfires in freezing temperatures with most definitely the ever-present sense of danger, yet surviving it all – make it the “Do before you die” journey!

Day 1

Info Arrival in Leh
- Arrive at Leh's Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport.
- Leh is situated at an altitude of 3500 meters, so it's essential to rest upon arrival to acclimatize to the high altitude.
- Check-in to your accommodation, preferably a hotel with good heating and comfortable facilities.
- Avoid strenuous activities on the first day, as it helps prevent altitude sickness.
- Take short walks around Leh town to get used to the altitude and enjoy the local atmosphere.
- Sample Ladakhi cuisine for dinner and get a good night's sleep to aid acclimatization.

- After breakfast, take a leisurely acclimatization walk around Leh.
- Visit Shanti Stupa, a Buddhist monument offering panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding mountains.

- Shingra Koma and Somo Paldar serve as your first campsite, and you'll set up your tents there.

* Know Before You Go ➡️

Please carry valid IDs and the Liwana voucher.
Carry your id for identification purposes on your tour.
The vehicle is not at your disposal and will be available only on an itinerary basis.
Any personal expenses or items of personal nature will not be included in the package.
Any breakage or damage of any items in the resort will be charged at actuals.
Rates may fluctuate with any change in services/hotels. The difference in the cost shall be borne by the client in case of any amendment in the package due to an increase in the number of guests, hotel change, etc., before the beginning of the trip.
The hotels are subject to their availability. In case they are not available, the travelers will be accommodated in a property of a similar standard.
Liwana reserves the right to rearrange the itinerary due to any kind of disturbance that occurred (i.e weather conditions, political conditions, or any others) without changing the total number of days and without compromising any service.
GST applies to the package cost.
Avoid using plastic bags and maintain the ecological balance of the destinations. Travelers littering may be fined.
If in case any traveler wants to or decides to leave the trip in the middle, all the expenses from that point onwards will be borne by the traveler. Neither the operator nor Liwana will be held responsible for such decisions or any refund.
Meals not mentioned are not included in the package.

* Payment Term Policy

100.0% of total tour cost will have to be paid 7 days prior to date of travel.

* Confirmation Policy

As soon as you pay, you will receive a confirmation email from Liwana.
The remaining amount needs to be paid before the date of travel.

* Cancellation Policy

If cancellation are made 30 days before the date of travel then 25.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
If cancellation are made 15 days to 30 days before the date of travel then 50.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
If cancellation are made 0 days to 15 days before the date of travel then 100.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

* Refund Policy

The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.

Accommodation. Leh Guest House (Day 1,2,3, 8 according to Itinerary) and Camping while on Trek on Day 4,5,6,7 according to Itinerary)
Meals while on trek (Veg.) – Hot Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner starting from Day 4 Breakfast to Day 8 Breakfast.
Trek equipment including -30 degree comfortable double-layer Siachen sleeping bags, sleeping mats, air breathable 4 season camping tents, mobile kitchen, and utensils for food
First Aid, Medical Kits, Oximeter, and oxygen cylinder.
Qualified & Experienced trek Leader, Guide, and Support staff to help trekkers.
Fixed return transfers from Leh Guest House to Trek Base Camp are included in the package as per the itinerary on Day 4 and Day 8
Porters to carry the common luggage including tents, sleeping bags, kitchen tents, camping rations and food, fuel/kerosene, oxygen cylinders, and toilet tents.

* Exclusions

Tentative Permits (LAHDC, ALTOA, Adventure Insurance Premium) cost Rs.9,840/- to be paid on actuals to the government.
Food / Meal in Leh. Available in Leh Hotel/Guest House @ Rs.250/- Per Meal (Approx)
Any kind of personal expenses.
A medical check-up may happen at the Tourist Information Center (TIC) or as advised by the ALTOA association.
Porter to carry personal luggage. The same may be arranged @ Rs.5,000/- for the complete trek days i.e., from Day 4 to Day 8 (5 Trek Days) up to 10Kg baggage.
Airport pick from the Leh Airport (Govt Pre Paid Taxi Charges @ Rs.550/-)
