Tanzania Trails: 6 Days of Safari Wonders & Serengeti Sunsets

Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), a warm welcome awaits you from our local Tripoclan representative.   You’ll be comfortably transferred to your hotel in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s famous northern safari circuit. Take this day to relax and recover from your journey—settle into your hotel, enjoy the lush surroundings, and prepare for the thrilling safari adventure ahead.   Whether you choose to unwind by the pool or explore the nearby town, this tranquil first evening sets the perfect tone for your unforgettable Tanzanian escape.

After a hearty breakfast, set off from your Arusha hotel and journey towards the breathtaking Tarangire National Park. Famous for its majestic baobab trees and dense elephant population, this park offers an unforgettable introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife.   Embark on a thrilling game drive through diverse landscapes teeming with animals—watch for prides of lions lounging under acacia trees, elusive leopards, and a colourful array of birdlife. With each turn, the wilderness reveals new wonders. By evening, check in to your lodge near the park and relax amid nature’s serenity, reflecting on your first full day of safari adventure.

After breakfast, depart your lodge and set out for the legendary Serengeti National Park—Tanzania’s crown jewel of safari experiences. As you drive through the ever-changing landscapes, the anticipation builds.   Upon arrival, dive into a spectacular game drive across the endless golden plains. This is your chance to witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration (seasonal), where thousands of wildebeests and zebras thunder across the savannah. Keep your eyes peeled for the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—roaming freely in their natural habitat. By evening, arrive at your lodge or tented camp in the Serengeti for a magical night under African skies.

After breakfast, bid farewell to the sweeping plains of Serengeti and begin your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, stop at the historic Olduvai Gorge—often called the “Cradle of Mankind”—where some of the earliest human fossils were discovered.   Explore the small museum and gain insight into humanity’s ancient roots. Then, continue to Ngorongoro and prepare to be captivated by the panoramic views of the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a haven for wildlife and scenery unlike anywhere else. Settle in at your lodge overlooking the crater rim and soak in the magic of this natural wonder.

Rise early for a once-in-a-lifetime experience—a full-day game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater. Often referred to as “Africa’s Eden,” this natural amphitheater is teeming with wildlife, from grazing zebras and graceful gazelles to powerful predators like lions and hyenas.   With a bit of luck, you might even spot the rare and endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the stunning scenery, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wild. In the afternoon, ascend the crater walls and begin your return journey to Arusha, filled with unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s breathtaking landscapes and wildlife wonders.

After breakfast, enjoy your final moments in the heart of Africa, soaking in the beauty and tranquillity around you. Depending on your flight schedule, our representative will transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your onward journey. As you depart, carry with you unforgettable memories of roaring lions, golden savannahs, and the breathtaking crater views.
