WONDER OF VIETNAM 7 N 8 D

 

Upon arrival, the tour guide & driver will be welcoming you at Noi Bai airport; it takes us 35 minutes driving to the centre of Hanoi for early check-in at the hotel with breakfast and then free to relax at your hotel. In the afternoon, have an overall view of the capital by a “cyclo” visit or by electric car, which will start around the Old Quarter of Hanoi, stop at Ngoc Son Temple located on the Hoan Kiem Lake (the “Sword” Lake). Overnight in Hanoi.

 

Depart Hanoi for Ha Long Bay, the drive is approximately three hours. Upon arrival at Ha Long, we will board our boat for a delicious seafood lunch while our boat is cruising around hundreds of wonderful limestone formations arising from emerald green water. After lunch we have the chance to explore one of the wonderful limestone caves dotted around the bay. Continue cruising to a secluded spot for swimming and sunbathing before dinner. Enjoy Veg Cuisine along with delicious seafood option also available. Overnight on the boat.

 

 

 

Rising to the lapping waters of the bay we have time for an early morning dip followed by breakfast. This morning we continue to cruise around the bay to find more secluded areas to either swim or kayak in. The kayaks are lightweight and easy to use. All guests will be issued with water buoyancy vests and the junk will be near us at all times serving as a backup vessel. At midday we will return to the main harbor before transferring to await vehicle for a 3-hour journey back to Hanoi. Then transfer to airport for the flight to Danang. Overnight in Danang.

 

After breakfast, Tour by visiting Han Market. Han Market is the biggest and famous market in Da nang city.

 

After the interesting market, we keep visiting the Linh Ung Bai But pagoda with the tallest Lady Buddha statue in Vietnam. The Linh Ung Bai But is on the Son Tra peninsula also called the Monkey mountain. It is very common to see a lot of monkeys on the trees.

 

From this fabulous pagoda, not only enjoy the fresh air; 67 m Lady Buddha statue but also you can enjoy the fantastic panoramic views of the ocean and Da Nang. Then transfer to Bana for overnight.

After breakfast, free and easy for your leisure to explore Bana hill, then transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

At 8:00 AM we pick you up at your hotel then we have about a 2 hours transfer to My Tho, the first town on the main branch of Mekong. On arrival at My Tho city, we will drive to Rach Mieu suspension bridge with its panorama view of the Mekong surrounding 4 islands here. From this bridge, the Mekong travels approximately 50km to the ocean. These islands include Thoi Son, Tan Long, Con Qui, Con Phung which stretch out more than 15km on the Mekong River. Looking further to your left, this main branch of Mekong will split into Cua Dai and Cua Tieu estuary to the ocean. Further on to the toll gate, you will pass Ba Lai river, another small branch of Mekong that flows to Ba Tri town, a famous area with thousands of birds living in the mangrove forest.

 

 

On arrival in Ben Tre, we will get on board for a one hour cruise on Ben Tre river, a tributary of Ham Luong – the 4th branch of Mekong river. Sit back and relax on board, drift down the busy branch of the Ham Luong and into the peaceful canal. We visited a brick kiln and a coconut shell husking workshop. See the daily life of farmers and try the hard work of taking a coconut that is unique to the region.

 

 

As our boat cruises inner the natural waterways, we visit a coconut-candy workshop, a main product that made Ben Tre famous. We disembark at a local market of Nhon Thanh commune and start our walk 500m on village road, exploring the market products. We visited a farmer workshop making sleeping mats, an old tradition hand weaving sedge mat or rush mat. Then, the Mekong adventure is on, see what life is really like for locals by exploring this quiet island by bicycle or more relaxing by hopping on a Lambretta triporteur, an old 1960 traditional tricycle in South Vietnam. This Lambretta adventure will be winding around the coconut palms, bitter melon or cucumber farms to a farmer house that we break for lunch and relax

 

 

In the afternoon, we explored a bit more of the coconut farms and fruit orchards of this village on foot. It’s about 700 m promenade through the village, and the villagers will welcome us on their wooden sampan for a paddling on a small waterway. This hand-rowing sampan slowly cruises under the canopy of water coconut palms along the canals. Our boat will pick us again and cruise back to the boat landing in BenTre town. Then we drove back to Saigon. If time permits, we will stop in Ben Luc for a short walk to the rice field, see the process of planting rice and harvest the crop.

 

After breakfast, Get started at 8:30 AM from your hotel venturing out to the Cu Chi countryside. See what life was like for the guerrilla warriors who lived and fought underground during the war. Crawl through 50 m of the 200 km tunnel system below. This morning will also see a visit to a rice paper workshop. Back to your hotel at around noon time. Free at your leisure.

 

Overnight in Hochiminh

 

Post check out, transfer back to Hochiminh, then proceed for a Shopping tour to Saigon square, An Dong Plaza – Shopping, Have lunch at Indian restaurant Then proceed to the Airport to catch a flight back home.
