About Rajaji national park The Rajaji National Park is a national park in the state of Uttarakhand, India. The park was named after C. Rajagopalachari, who was the last Governor-General of India. The park was created on April 21, 1983, and is spread over an area of 820 km². The park is located in the Shivalik Hills, and is a part of the Lower Himalayas. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including elephants, leopards, tigers, and deer. The park is also home to a variety of bird species, including the Indian pitta, the great slaty woodpecker, and the black-throated thrush. The Rajaji National Park is open from October to June. Admission is free for Indian citizens, and a fee is charged for foreigners.
