Mauritius heartly welcomes all the international tourists from July 15. As per the reports, this holiday hotspot will be reopening its borders in two phases. Reportedly, during the first phase, i.e., from July 15 to September 30, 2021, the island will be welcoming vaccinated travellers to enjoy resort holidays in the island. This means that from July 15, vaccinated travellers will be able to fly to Mauritius, and enjoy a ‘hotel holiday’ there.
Visitors from anywhere will be welcome to the island nation, provided they have already received the second dose of their COVID-19 vaccination at least three weeks before arriving in Mauritius and also mentioned that the second phase of reopening will begin from October, which will continue till the year end - reports stated.

During the first phase, those visiting the island nation will be able to enjoy facilities that come within their chosen resort premises. If the visitors stay there for more than 14 days and have negative PCR tests during their stay in the resort, they will also be allowed to explore the island’s attractions. However, those visiting for shorter stays will be required to leave the resort earlier and travel back home.

As per the Mauritian authorities, all vaccines that have been authorised by the World Health Organisation, will be recognised here, including those for emergency use. This means visitors who have received the Pfizer-Biontech, Moderna, Sinovac, Astra-Zeneca, Jansen/Johnson&Johnson, or Sinopharm jabs can visit.
People who are not yet vaccinated need to wait for a bit longer until they get their shot, and then plan their travel to Mauritius. Those under 18 do not need to be vaccinated to travel to the island nation, however, they will be required to undergo PCR testing.
