Bageshwar is a small town and a tehsil in the Bageshwar district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is the administrative headquarters of the Bageshwar district. Bageshwar is located on the banks of the Sarayu River, at an elevation of 1,236 metres (4,055 ft). Bageshwar is a place of religious importance for both Hindus and Buddhists. The town has a number of temples, including the Bageshwar Temple, the Kedarnath Temple, and the Panch Kedar Temple. It is also home to the Bajrangbali Temple, dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The town is also known for its production of high quality apples.
