About Groeninge Museum

The Groeninge Museum is a world-renowned art museum located in the Belgian city of Bruges. It was founded in 1844 and houses a large collection of paintings from the Early Netherlandish period, as well as works from the Flemish Primitives and the Belgian Romantics. The museum is named after its founder, Simon van der Groote, and is housed in a former Augustine Monastery.
