About Abbey Falls
The Abbey Falls are a series of waterfalls located in the Kodagu district of Karnataka, India. They are formed by the Kaveri River, which originates in the Brahmagiri Hills and flows eastward to empty into the Bay of Bengal. The falls are located at the village of Abbey, about 20 kilometres (12 mi) from the district headquarters at Madikeri. Abbey is a popular spot for viewing and photographing the falls. The falls are also a popular spot for picnics and for swimming.
