Reaching Coorg by air is the most convenient way to get to this enchanting hill station. The nearest airport is located in Mangalore, which is about 130 kilometers away from Coorg. There are several daily flights to Mangalore from major cities in India such as Bangalore, Mumbai, and New Delhi. From the Mangalore airport, it is a two-hour drive to reach Coorg.

The nearest railway station to Coorg is at Mysore, which is about 130 km away. Mysore is well connected by rail to all major cities in India. There are several trains that run from Mysore to Coorg. The journey from Mysore to Coorg takes about 2-3 hours, depending on the train.

 

Apart from Mysore, there are other railway stations that are close to Coorg. These stations are at Madikeri and Virajpet. The Madikeri railway station is about 45 km away from Coorg, while the Virajpet railway station is about 25 km away from Coorg. There are several trains that run from these stations to Coorg. 

If you are travelling from Mumbai, Chennai or Delhi, the best option is to take a train to Mysore and then take a train to Coorg.
