About Iruppu Falls

Iruppu Falls is a waterfall located in the Brahmagiri Hills of the Western Ghats, in the Kodagu district of Karnataka, India. It is situated on the River Kaveri, and is the second highest waterfall in Karnataka, after the Jog Falls. Iruppu Falls is formed by the river Kaveri tumbling down from a height of around 152 m (499 ft).
The falls are located in a reserved forest area and form the border between the districts of Kodagu and Uttara Kannada. The falls are a popular tourist destination and are accessible from the nearby town of Siddapur.
