Jantar Mantar

A visit to Jantar Mantar is a must when in Jaipur. It is an astronomical observatory built in the early 18th century. It is one of the five astronomical observatories in India. The other four being in Delhi, Ujjain, Varanasi and Pune. The observatory is open from sunrise to sunset. Entry is free for all. It is a great place to learn about astronomy and the history of Jaipur.
