About Pazhassiraja Museum

Kozhikode Pazhassiraja Museum is a repository of the history and culture of Kerala. The museum is named after Pazhassi Raja, the legendary warrior king of Malabar. The museum is located at the heart of Kozhikode city and is spread over an area of 2,000 sq.m. It houses a collection of artefacts, paintings and sculptures from the ancient to the modern era. The museum has a rich collection of sculptures from the temples of Kerala. The exhibits also include paintings, weapons, coins, inscriptions and other artefacts. The museum is open from Monday to Saturday (9.00 am to 5.00 pm) and Sunday (9.00 am to 1.00 pm).
