The Kumbakonam Nageswaran Temple is a Hindu temple located in the town of Kumbakonam in the Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu, India. Dedicated to the god Shiva, the temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. The temple is also known as the Naganatha Temple. The temple is located on the banks of the Kaveri River, and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region. The temple complex is spread over an area of . The temple has a five-tiered rajagopuram, and is surrounded by a granite wall. There are several shrines in the temple complex, dedicated to Shiva, Parvati, Ganesha, Vinayaka, Murugan, and Subrahmanya. The temple is open from 6:00am to 12:00pm and from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. The temple is closed on Thursdays.
