About Manikaran

Manikaran is a small town located in the Parvati Valley of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is located in the Kullu district, north of Manali and is known for its hot springs and temples.
The name Manikaran is derived from two words, "mani" meaning "pearl" and "karan" meaning "place". The hot springs are said to have been created by the tantric goddess, Parvati, in order to wash the feet of her husband, Shiva.
The main attraction in Manikaran is the hot springs, which are said to have healing properties. There are two main springs, the "Gandhi Sarovar" and the "Ram Sarovar". The water is so hot that it can't be boiled. The temperature of the water is about 85-87 degrees Celsius.

There are also several temples in Manikaran, including the Ram Mandir, the Vishnu Mandir, the Narasimha Mandir, and the Hanuman Mandir.
