Legend of the Sacred Forest

There is a legend in the sacred forest of Mawphlang about a celestial deer that lived in the forest. The deer was so beautiful that people from all over the world came to see it. The deer would often come down to the village and eat the flowers there. One day, a hunter saw the deer and decided to shoot it. However, the deer was so fast that it easily escaped. The hunter was so angry that he decided to shoot at the deer every time he saw it. The deer was tired of being shot at and decided to leave the forest. As it left, it turned into a shower of light that rained down on the village. The people were so amazed that they decided to build a shrine to honor the deer.
