The ancient city Ujjain besides the kshipra river is situated in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.
The distance between Ujjain and Indore is 55 km and the nearest airport from Ujjain is Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport Indore. My friend and I decided to go to Ujjain from Indore. We took a local bus at 6. am from Indore to Ujjain and it took 1. 5 hours to reach there. After arriving in Ujjain we booked a cab for the whole day.
