Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1

Info Hasimara Railway Station - Darjeeling via Siligure ( 190 Km )

Arrival at Hasimara. After a warm welcome, our representative will drive you to Darjeeling and assist you to check in at the hotel. Freshen up and relax for some time. In the evening, you can go for a Local Market.
Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2

Info Darjeeling - Sightseeing

Tiger Hill
The fifth day calls for a really early start. Drive to the Tiger Hill at 4 a.m. where you will reach at a height of 2590 meters. This is your chance to witness the spectacular sunrise as its rays levitate over the third highest peak in the world, Mt. Kanchenjunga.

Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop
As you make your way back, halt at the Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop. The unmatched natural beauty amidst which the monastery is nestled which is a wonderful sight to behold. The Batasia Loop on another hand is unarguably one of the most picturesque train routes in all of Darjeeling.
On arriving at the hotel, devour a healthy breakfast and head out for some more sightseeing.

Himalayan Mountaineering Institute
Visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute that stages different kinds of mountaineering equipments, assortment of paintings and modelsrelated to life in mountains. There is a historic scientificTelescope here from which you can get a clear view of the lofty Khangchendzonga.

Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park
Sprawling across 67.56 acres, at an elevation of 7000 feet, the park is home to a variety of species of Himalayan animals including Asiatic black bears, cloud leopards, red pandas and Tibetan wolves.

Tenzing Rock
Then, head to the Tenzing Rock which is very popular spot among adventure junkies for rock climbing activity and enjoy an outer view of the Chitrey Tea Garden which is the home ground for Darjeeling’s aromatic tea.

Japanese Temple and the Peace Pagoda
Lastly, visit the temple and the pagoda. Both these scared shrines provide focus to people of all castes and races to unite for a better world.

Day 3

Info Gangtok Full Day Sightseeing

Have a filling breakfast and set off for a half day city tour of Gangtok. First up on the sixth day of your Sikkim trip itinerary is a visit to the Banjhakri Waterfalls. Next, visit the Dro-dul Chorten Stupa & Research Institute of Tibetology.
Next up is the Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom from where you can buy traditional North Eastern goods like Thangka paintings, carpets, handlooms, wooden carved and painted items, wooden masks, and many more. Later, explore Sikkim’s monumental range of species of flowers and ferns at the Gangtok Flower Show.
Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 4

Info Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

After a leisurely breakfast, at around 8 am leave for Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft/3750 m/3 hrs drive) and Baba Harbhajan Mandir( 13,200 ft/4000 m). The zig-zag road through craggy mountain terrain takes you to Tsomgo Lake.

Located at an altitude of 12,400 ft, the lake is enveloped in ethereal beauty and is considered sacred. The lake dons different looks in different seasons. In winters it gets covered in snow while in spring colourful flowers around the lake add life to it.

Baba Harbhajan Mandir or the shrine is a must-visit place of Sikkim as it is dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh who was a brave Indian soldier. While carrying supplies to a remote post he died near the Nathula Pass in eastern Sikkim due to bad weather condition.

After the excursion, we will drive you back to Gangtok. Stay overnight at the hotel

Note: You can also visit Nathula Pass on the same day at an additional cost. Nathula Pass is located at an altitude of 14,140 feet and is one of the highest motorable passes of India. It is one of the oldest trading border posts linking India and Tibet.

Post breakfast, check out from the hotel and we will drive you back to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station(NJP)/Bagdogra Airport(IXB) – Gangtok with memories to cherish for long!
