FLIGHT SAFETY & DISCIPLINE:
- The operator retains the legal authority to disembark passengers who display unruly behavior, use abusive language, are intoxicated, unwell, mentally unfit, or pose a safety risk to the flight. In such cases, no refund will be granted to the affected passenger(s).
SEATING CAPACITY:
- The helicopters used for transporting pilgrims in the Chardham sector are primarily single-engine aircraft with a maximum seating capacity of 06 Passengers + 01 Pilot.
HELICOPTER WEIGHT LIMITATION:
- The helicopter has a maximum weight capacity of 450 Kgs, excluding baggage weight. The number of passengers allowed on board depends on various factors such as load, weather, temperature conditions, etc., and the pilot's decision will be final.
- The combined weight of all passengers should not exceed 450 Kgs. Therefore, passengers are required to provide their precise weights, including heavy clothes, during the booking process to ensure safe flying. In case of any necessary adjustments, passengers may be shuffled between helicopters to maintain the appropriate weight balance.
OVERWEIGHT CHARGES:
- Helicopters always maintain a perfect load factor while flying over mountains to prioritize safety, particularly during commercial flights. The prescribed average body weight for each passenger, including their handbags, is 75 Kgs. However, passengers weighing more than 75 Kgs can still participate in the tour by paying extra weight charges to ensure the appropriate load balance.
- For the Chardham Trip, any extra body weight beyond 75 Kgs per person will be charged at Rs.2000/- per kg. These charges must be paid at Dehradun before the flight.
- Additional weight charges of Rs.100/- per extra kg beyond 75 Kgs will be applicable for the Palki at Yamunotri, to be paid at Yamunotri itself.
- Considering the helicopters' restricted weight capacity, operators may shuffle passengers between helicopters to maintain a safe flying weight in hilly areas. As a result, passengers traveling together may not always be accommodated in the same helicopter flight while heading to the same destination.
- In cases where the actual weight exceeds significantly beyond the weights conveyed during booking, passengers may be asked to de-board without any refund. Alternatively, they can be allowed to board after paying the applicable extra weight charges. The final decision in such scenarios will be made by the helicopter pilot.
BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE:
- Each passenger is allowed to carry only one baggage weighing a maximum of 5 kg. Suitcases and other large bags cannot be taken on the helicopter due to limited boot space. Therefore, only duffle bags or handbags are permitted during the tour.
FLIGHT TIMINGS:
- This tour offers daily fixed departure helicopter schedules with pre-planned timings for each destination.
- Passengers are required to follow the scheduled estimated time of departure from the hotel each day of the tour. Failure to do so may result in delays or a no-show, and such instances will be considered as cancellations without any refund.
NOTE: - Guests are strongly urged to provide their precise body weight, including clothes, shoes, and handbags, at the time of booking. Any significant variation in weight may result in the unfortunate de-boarding of the passenger without any refund. The final decision on this matter rests with the Pilot and the aviation operation crew.
