Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1

Info NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport – Gangtok (120 kms / 5 hrs)

Upon arrival at NJP Railway station / Bagdogra Airport, you will be met by a local driver who will transfer you to your hotel in Gangtok (5,500 ft.). After reaching the hotel, check in and the rest of the day is free on your own. Overnight at your hotel in Gangtok.

Info Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

After breakfast, proceed for a full day excursion to Changu (Tsomgo) Lake which is 35 Kms from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 feet. The lake derives its waters from melting snows off the surrounding mountains. Later, visit Baba Mandir (55km from Gangtok) situated at an altitude of 13200feet. .Overnight at your hotel in Gangtok. (In case of any natural calamity or any other reason, if Tsomgo Lake is closed, then we will arrange alternate sightseeing.)

After breakfast start for Pelling (6,300 ft.). On arrival check-in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Pelling.

After breakfast start for full day sightseeing. 1st Half tour - Darap village, Rimbi water Falls, Khecheopalri Lake &Khangchendzongha waterfalls. In afternoon start for 2nd Half tour - Pemayangtse Monastery, Sang-Ngag Choling (Sky Walk – at your own cost),New Helipad Ground. Overnight stay at Pelling.

This morning after breakfast transfer to Darjeeling (6,950 ft.) via Singla check post. On arrival check-in to your hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Early morning (4:00 AM) proceed for Tiger Hill (Subject to availability of Permit / Token). Later, return back to hotel in time for breakfast. Post breakfast, proceed for local Darjeeling sightseeing. Visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute(Thursday Closed), P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Ropeway(tickets on own), Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view), Japanese Temple, Ghoom Monastery, Batasia loop. The evening is free on your own to explore Darjeeling. Overnight at your hotel in Darjeeling. (Sometimes, Tiger Hill Permit is granted for evening sunset view. In that case the Tiger hill excursion would be arranged after the local sightseeing tour)
