Meet and greet "Purba Holidays" representative on arrival at Guwahati airport and transfer to Shillong. Capital of Meghalaya. Also known as "The Abode of Clouds", one of the smallest states in India. It is the headquarters of the East Khasi Hills district and is situated at an average altitude of 4,908 feet (1,496 m) above sea level, with the highest point being Shillong Peak at 6,449 feet (1,966 m). Enroute visit Umium Lake. Check in Hotel.

Info SHILLONG - CHERRAPUNJEE - SHILLONG (CHERRAPUNJEE EXCURSION)

After an early breakfast proceed to Cherrapunjee (56 km), the wettest place on earth. Enjoy a pleasant drive to see Mawkdok View Point. The lovely town is also famous for its limestone caves like Arwah Cave, Mawsmai Cave. Enjoy some roaring waterfalls leaping into deep gorges - the famed Elephant Falls originally known as Ka Kshaid Lai Pateng Khohsiew, The Seven Sisters Water Falls originally known as Nohsngithiang Falls. Watch the Dein-Thlen Falls, Noh-Khalikai Falls. Return to Shillong.

Early morning you may drive to Mawlynnong (90 kms from Shillong), the cleanest village in Asia. Visit the Tree House, Living Root Bridge, Sky View Point, Balancing rock. Also Visit Dawki. It primarily owes its popularity to the breathtaking Umngot River, often called the Dawki River. Known for its crystal-clear waters that mirror the azure sky above, this river is a sight to behold. In the evening return to Shillong.
